There are a million and one ways to get the most out of your Mac, but our favorite method is thinking about the things you want to accomplish, and then finding the best way to do it. This isn’t a magic trick, but it is something that can lead to some pretty awesome things, like being able to work on your Mac in bed, or creating a custom hotkey that doesn’t interrupt you during a lecture.

Macs are known for their ease of use, but there are still lots of features within OS X that can be more difficult to find and master. If you’re new to Mac, we’ve got some great tips for you. Check out our list of the best Mac tips ever.

You know how sometimes you discover something that just makes you say “Eureka!”? That’s what happened to me when I decided to write a blog post on how to get the most out of your Mac.

Macbooks are known for their durability and rich design. However, people who are relatively new to macOS are missing out on a lot of great things you can do with a Macbook.

Without knowing what specific things we could do with our Macs, we were still very pleased with the overall experience. But imagine how much better your experience could be if you knew a few more tips and tricks you could apply to your Mac – to make things more interesting and efficient.

For example, if you have trouble handling large files on your Mac and want a better graphics experience, here are some additional tips to make your experience even better than before.

Getting the most out of Bluetooth on a Mac

As you know, a Mac, like most computers, has a built-in Bluetooth feature. But we often don’t stop to think about the benefits Bluetooth can bring to a Mac – and that may surprise you. For example, if you have other Apple devices, such as an iPhone, Apple Watch, or iPad, Bluetooth allows you to do many things faster.

Say you have an iPhone and you’re using your Mac at the same time. If you use Safari on your phone, you can easily transfer the search box or a page you’re reading to your Mac – you’ll see an icon on the left side of the Dock.

If you have an Apple Watch, you can also enable a handy feature that lets you automatically unlock your Mac – but only if you’re near your Mac and wearing an Apple Watch.

Place the emoji in the folder on the desktop

To make your desktop look more fun and cheerful, you can place emoji on your desktop folders. It’s also easier to visually see where different types of content are placed.

To do this, you must first create a new folder by clicking on File and selecting the New Folder option. Then go to Safari or whatever browser you’re using, open a Google search and search for an emoji (for example). For example, a face with tears of joy or a smiling face with heart-shaped eyes.

Then drag the image to your desktop, double click on it to open it, click on the highlight tool to make the image transparent, click on the background of the image and select the Edit option, then Cut. Then, using the same tool, click and drag the shape around the emoji. Then select Edit, select All and press Command + C. Right-click on the previously created folder and click Get Info. Click on the blue folder icon, press Command + V, and it’s right in front of you.

Reset Mac password if forgotten

It has happened to all of us: at some point we forget an important password that we desperately needed at that moment. If this happens to your Mac, there are two easy ways to recover your password.

Apple ID – After entering your password incorrectly several times, your Mac may ask you to reset your password with your Apple ID. Click the question mark next to the password text box to continue with the process if you were not asked this question. When prompted, enter your Apple ID password and email address. Then just proceed with the process that will help you create a new password for your Mac.

Recovery mode – To activate this process, you must first turn off the computer. Then press the key combination Command + R, followed by the power button. Press and hold Command + R until a progress bar appears on the screen. Press Menu, Utilities, then Terminal. Enter Reset Password in the window that appears. Press the Return key. Close the terminal windows and you will see the password reset tool window – just follow your Mac’s instructions from there.

Create your own shortcuts

Using keyboard shortcuts can be very effective and save you a lot of time. The advantage is that you can create your own shortcuts, which is especially useful if you work in programming or graphic design, where you are used to using a lot of shortcuts.

To create one yourself, first go to the system settings. Here click on Keyboard, then Shortcuts, then Application Shortcuts and press the + icon. A window will appear asking you to choose an application. Once selected, click Add and you can use the new shortcut.Mac users are some of the most tech-savvy users on the planet, but that doesn’t mean the operating system is perfect. Applications you can download on your Mac are typically updated every couple of months, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes the developers of a particular application may skip a release for a few months, or even years, then release an update that adds significant new functionality or removes a few features. And you can’t always just wait for an update to come out. So, how do you stay up-to-date with the world of Mac software?.
